What you’ll do…

  • Responsible for creating a comprehensive roadmap for the long-term success of Walmart’s last mile delivery solution. Identifies and prioritizes key initiatives that will drive growth, profitability, and sustainability while also considering associated risks. Closely works with senior leadership across Walmart to align on the strategic plan with the company’s vision and mission to ensure that the plan is actionable and impactful.
  • Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan, ensuring that it is aligned with Walmart’s long term strategic plans and goals. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that the last mile delivery strategy is on track to achieve its goals. Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to ensure the operating plans are actionable and measurable.
  • Facilitates strategy offsites and workshops to generate new ideas and solutions that align with Walmart’s vision and strategy. Encourages collaboration across teams and functions to ensure that the ideas generated are actionable and measurable. Uses data-driven insights to support the strategic brainstorming process.
  • Conducts in-depth research and analysis on last mile delivery industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape. Leverages this research to identify opportunities and inform strategic decision making. Develops insights and recommendations that will help Walmart provide the best customer experience while staying ahead of the competition and capitalizing on emerging trends and technologies. Provides regular updates to the leadership team on the changing market conditions and industry dynamics.
  • Develops compelling stories, presentations, and whitepapers that effectively communicate the Last Mile Delivery team’s strategic plans, initiatives, and impact. Adapts communication style to suit different audiences and situations. Work closely with cross functional teams to gather data and insights that support the key messages and ensure all stakeholders are aligned with the goals and strategic direction. Builds trust and fosters relationships to drive collaborative engagement throughout the strategy development.
  • Manages the strategy development process by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, developing new innovations and tools for strategic brainstorming and continuously improving collaboration methodology; leveraging best practices from cross-functional partners to streamline and improve processes; analyzing and interpreting information for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency; developing creative solutions within business areas to reduce costs and meet business goals; ensuring data accuracy; using knowledge and experience of the business to determine what activities must be done by serving as subject matter expert; developing and implementing scorecards and other tracking mechanisms; collaborating with and influencing operations and other internal partners in support of strategies.
  • Provides decision support by sourcing, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data and information; providing influence and insight on current and future business trends; conducting analyses of initiatives to understand and communicate trends; translating data analysis into recommendations aligned with business objectives; and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop processes and strategies that help meet business goals.
  • Directs the execution of projects, work streams, and programs by managing and modifying associated project plans; creating and managing task timelines; formatting and maintaining project data; organizing and facilitating communication materials to ensure successful roll-outs and implementations; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing solutions and contingency plans for issues that have been escalated by project managers; adjusting direction based on project evaluation; and managing budget and approving expenditures for assignments where required .
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$195,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
