POSITION SUMMARY:
The Workforce Planning Specialist will be central in analyzing, forecasting, and planning workforce supply and demand, assessing gaps, and determining target talent management interventions to ensure that Primoris has the right people – with the right skills in the right places at the right time – to fulfill our mandate and strategic objectives.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, analyze, and maintain resource planning data, ensuring that our talent acquisition and retention strategies meet organizational needs.
- Align stacking forecasts with finance, generating insightful people resource reports and suggesting actionable solutions.
- Proactively assist with the placement and availability of employees for upcoming projects, ensuring that teams are adequately staffed and prepared.
- Provide the resource team data regarding team planning and scheduling for new employee placements, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into our teams. Monitor employee utilization closely, identifying and addressing any instances of over or under-utilization.
- Coordinate with operations directors, the field operations manager, and HR leaders to create high-performing project teams, addressing the diverse needs of clients across the nation.
- Review and manage incoming requests for specific disciplines based on project schedules, ensuring that the right skills are available at the right times.
- Draft confidential resource assignment schedules, carefully considering the unique skill sets, performance levels, and availability of our personnel.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 years experience related to planning, scheduling, and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Experience with WorkOtter Project Management Software.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
