Senior Global Compliance Manager

Lime is looking for a strategic, analytical, and transformational Global Logistics Compliance Manager for its global supply chain team, reporting into the Director, Global Logistics & Warehousing. You will own all aspects of establishing best practices, setting policies, auditing and improving our global logistics compliance processes,, reporting and systems.

What you’ll do:

    • Regularly review and update our global logistics & customs compliance policies and procedures; training others as necessary
    • Ability to drive complex and cross functional projects to completion
    • Develop and implement long term strategies for a scalable global compliance program
    • Serve as our SME regarding trade compliance and import/export related matters
    • Provide recommendations to Sr. Management teams regarding cost avoidance/reduction strategies and best practices regarding all aspects of logistics and customs compliance
    • Develop and maintain our global database of HS classifications, tariffs and related data
    • Manage relationships with our global customs brokerage partners, monitoring performance and setting expectations
    • Responsible for ensuring operation processes are aligned with local and international regulatory requirements and policies
    • A strategic partner to the Supply Chain team on optimizing efficiency and cost by leveraging special trade programs and duty/tariff mitigation strategies
    • Work closely with Finance and Accounting to establish and maintain duty deferment accounts where appropriate
    • Partner with our EOL/Recycling program manager regarding global compliance
    • Other tasks and projects as assigned

About you:

    • 7+ years experience with international compliance/supply chain/logistics
    • 5+ years experience with Intra-EU transactions, including deep understanding of VAT rates and intrastat reporting
    • Extensive knowledge on HS codes, ADD and special trade programs
    • Experience with US Section 301 tariff is a plus
    • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods shipments, specifically related to li-ion batteries. Dangerous Goods certification is a plus.
    • EOL/Recycling Compliance experience in Europe for electronics is a plus.
    • Prior SOX Compliance experience preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong logical thinking, verbal, and quantitative reasoning, along with the ability to zoom out and see patterns.
    • Ability to collaborate, build relationships and effectively communicate cross-functionally
    • Experience in helping companies identify improvements in process areas, and in assisting with implementing those improvements
    • Excellent computer and system skills, Google, MS office, JIra, Asana and NetSuite ERP experience is a plus
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position is $83,000 to $139,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience and other qualifications as well as the candidate’s location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
