ESG/EHS Technology Project Manager

As an experienced ESG/EHS Technology Project Manager, you will support our Portfolio Delivery Managers (PDMs) to deliver on margin targets by leading projects to design and implement EHS and ESG technology solutions for clients in all major industries and geographies. The Project Manager is responsible for working within the project delivery team to plan and monitor proposals and projects from an execution, resourcing, and risk perspective and to assist the ESG/EHS Technology staff in their growth and in delivering work.

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Responsibilities:

Based in the US or Canada, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams of client and consulting staff to deliver enterprise sustainability, carbon reduction, environmental compliance, and health & safety information solutions. In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for delivery of ESG/EHS Technology projects:
    • Assign and manage project resources.
    • Work with portfolio deliver managers to monitor project delivery performance and client satisfaction.
    • Manage risk and margin performance via reporting and project reviews.
    • Work with project accountants to manage cashflow via invoicing.
    • Work with contracts team to establish and maintain client contracts.
    • Monitor project financials, delivery of scope of work, schedule, and change management.
    • Ensure project and client quality plans are executed.
    • Execute projects according to the DVS business management system and the ESG/EHS Technology PM Playbook, coordinating with PDMs as necessary.
    • Coordinate with PDMs to manage and monitor client satisfaction.
  • Support ESG/EHS Technology sales efforts:
    • Provide input to sales and PDM related to client sales and growth.
    • Provide new client opportunities to PDMs for go/no-go decisions.
    • Develop proposals and associated schedule, resourcing plans, pricing tools, and risk analysis/workflow approvals.
    • Partner with the client to understand their needs/priorities, key drivers and objectives, and develop the client rapport/trust/relationship.
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience
  • Experience delivering technical software implementation projects in a consulting environment.
  • Experience in a project task lead role with direct client interaction and responsibility.
  • Experience with developing proposals and project plans for ESG/EHS technology projects across all phases.
  • Understanding of project management best practices; certification not required but is a plus.
  • Experience directly coordinating teams/staff to execute project work.
  • Ability to understand priorities, anticipate client needs, have awareness of audience during client calls, and know when to escalate issues.
  • Ability set project schedules and adapt to change.
  • Ability to directly communicate with clients, including difficult conversations.
  • Commitment to provide routine performance feedback with teams/staff.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience implementing ESG/EHS software (Enablon, Sphera, Intelex, Cority, ServiceNow, BenchmarkESG, Workiva, Persefoni, Watershed, Metrio, Avarni, VelocityEHS, and others).
  • Experience with databases and configuration of off-the-shelf applications.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000-120,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
