Assembly Media Inc., a subsidiary of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc., has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive on the Xbox Games Team, supporting games and franchises available to play on game consoles, PCs, and other devices (smart TVs, mobile devices, etc.).
This position will operate as part of the team that launched titles like Minecraft Legends, Pentiment, and Forza Horizon 5, and provides ongoing support for game franchises like Minecraft, Halo, and Halo. There is also opportunity to work with independent game developers, as well as those building games and franchises not owned by Microsoft. We’re looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can stay organized while multitasking, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. A background or personal interest in gaming is strongly encouraged, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content, and support the execution of communications plans that meet client objectives
- Assist internal teams and clients with keeping programs on time, on track, and on budget, including anticipating challenges and thinking critically to create solutions
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses and their missions as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, media, creators, studios, etc.
- Demonstrate tactical proficiency in media and influencer relations, including creating and driving outreach plans, message development, effective pitching, researching media trends, and growth of contact network
- Build level-appropriate understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and how they impact clients
- Contribute to comprehensive, accurate, and timely industry and coverage monitoring, including thoughtful analysis and feedback on results
- Push for creative ideas; be purposeful and enterprising in problem-solving; embrace diverse trends, skills, specialties, and viewpoints
Basic Qualifications:
- This is an entry-level account position – at least 2 months of internship experience, or recent graduates.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
- An assistant account executive will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of account service staff within a specific set of accounts
- Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to their team and clients
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of account service staff within a specific set of accounts.
- Prior internship experience preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative in developing appropriate traditional and online media strategies.
- Solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used to achieve client goals.
$40,000 – $50,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
