Working alongside digital & client leadership, you will guide and direct a team of programmatic strategists to lead cross-departmental work streams and communication externally with the client, but also internally with Strategy, Planning, Direct Investment, Trading and Analytics to facilitate best-in-class programmatic execution and service to clients.

In addition to team leadership, you’ll contribute to practice-level thought leadership, with responsibility for higher-level programmatic deliverables including SWOTs, QBRs, POVs as well as account-level programmatic roadmaps.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Manage a cross-functional team, leading the growth and development from entry-level associates through to manager-level staff
  • Meet regularly with all levels of agency partners and clients to identify and qualify business opportunities and establish and monitor KPIs and performance metrics of Xaxis-run campaigns
  • Assist with new business opportunities and pitches
  • Lead programmatic collaboration with a wide variety of internal partners and teams
  • Lead account-level programmatic roadmap creation to foster innovation and growth for this key account
  • Connect with our client and agency brand teams to drive their understanding of programmatic, its advantages and our capabilities to grow adoption of programmatic as part of a holistic plan that aligns optimizable media and brand metrics
  • Develop, apply and share standard methodologies for internal operations, communications, campaign management, cross-departmental coordination (finance, ad ops, etc.), measurement planning and reporting
  • Help lead overall development of programmatic buying strategies; leadership of programmatic specialists; evaluation and identification of optimal partners (tech, data, media)
  • Provide ongoing POVs on marketplace and leading technology to both internal Agency/GroupM community as well as externally
  • Identify training needs and develop recommendations for building the skills and knowledge of our people
  • Act as a mentor to our experienced and senior-level staff and help develop their leadership skills

YOUR BACKGROUND:

  • 8+ years’ experience in the digital marketing/advertising industry with a deep understanding of digital marketing goals and best practices
  • 5+ years’ experience in programmatic strategy and/or activation required
  • 4+ years’ experience of building and leading an account management or client services function within an agency, network or ad tech company
  • Prior experience of managing a team of at least 2-3 people
  • Proven knowledge of audience profiles and online ad targeting, agency dynamics, industry technology, campaign pricing models and metrics
  • Familiarity with advanced programmatic optimization strategies to deliver against performance KPIs and budget growth
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to understand and communicate complex technology and business concepts quickly to a variety of audiences
  • We know you’ll showcase your strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
  • Experience within programmatic trading platforms preferred to be able to navigate around campaigns, audience libraries, planning tools, but not needed to have full hands-on-keys experience of campaign set up and optimization (The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon DSP, DV360, Yahoo)
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of an organization, fostering strong cross-functional teamwork

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $230,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
