Systems Engineer 1

$52.51-$60.60/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Assist with analyses to evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Assist with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Assist with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Support use case, architecture, and requirements development utilizing MBSE.
- Analyze customer inputs to define system requirements, performing functional development/modeling of the system behavior
- Support verification and validation of system requirements with proper flow-down and traceability for system, hardware, and software components to include verification, validation, and test plans and schedules, procedures and documentation, execution, and requirements close out.
- Contribute to interface development, documentation, and compliance and system integration across hardware and software domains to ensure system success with ground segment.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to develop System and SW build content release.
- Develop verification artifacts and interfacing with other members of the project or program teams, management, sales and marketing staff, customers and suppliers to meet group, organization and company objectives.
- Work under general supervision.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
- 2 or more years of Systems Engineering experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Active security clearance (Secret or higher)
- Prior Aerospace Systems engineering experience
- Familiarity with MBSE tools such as Cameo
