Director- Sensors and Integrated sensor modules: Job Description
The Product Director is responsible for the roadmap, product definition, execution, and go-to-market strategy for the Renesas sensor and integrated sensor module division. Assimilates Renesas’ customer base, customer requirements, technology trends, and competitive intelligence to define product roadmaps and drives an integrated marketing strategy that includes thought leadership, go-to-market plans, air and ground campaigns, packaging and pricing, and innovative business models to grow business and market share in IoT.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze sensor and IoT market space, leveraging data and technology to optimize product strategy to address the customer’s future needs while exploiting Renesas’s other products.
- Listens to customers to understand requirements, market shifts, and future design trends
- Makes a business case for future development and negotiates product line priorities and roadmap
- Develop and hold teams accountable to program milestones and objectives
- Drive world-class engineering solutions and develop new processes in a compressed timeline.
- Lead cross-functional issue resolution and remove roadblocks internally and externally
- Review and approve design proposals based on requirements/statement of work and present to stakeholders/customers
- Works with cross-functional stakeholders across product teams in the organization to drive technology roadmaps and ecosystem partnerships
- Creates value through packaging, pricing, and product life cycle management.
In your new role, you will:
- You will lead several managers and technical leads with a mix of direct and indirect reports in the USA, Europe, China, and India.
- You will be the owner of the product roadmap, execution strategy, and go-to-market plans.
- You will collaborate with cross-function groups to develop a unified solution for customers.
- Work with the Engineering team to drive architecture, feature definition, and test strategies.
You are best equipped for this task if you have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field is required, with a strong preference for an advanced engineering degree.
- The individual possesses significant experience in electronic system design and development.
- Minimum 15+ years of industry experience with 10+ years in leading a technical team with exposure to sales and marketing
- Experienced in different sensors and the IoT world
- Excellent problem-solving skills, initiative, and drive to define industry-leading sensing solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills; effectively present results and recommendations to senior-level Renesas and customer management.
- Experience interacting with highly technical customers and customer groups in various forums, from trade, shows to live engineering demos.
- Shown ability to effectively connect with diverse audiences is essential to the success of this position.
- Proven experience in developing business cases and successfully leading business objectives.
- Willing and able to travel 50%, including internationally
Additional Information
- $202,600 – $303,900 annualized salary range (Note: Disclosure as required by SB 1162 (9-27-22) for California)

- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position in California. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The position can be in the USA (Remote) and Germany. A different location can be considered for an exceptionally deserving candidate.
