About You
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Senior Director of Training to lead, develop, and enhance training initiatives across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess transformational abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and executing training programs, curricula, and methodologies, ensuring alignment with our company’s goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will also have experience in off- and near-shore vendor support.

About The Role
The Senior Director of Training is a senior leadership role within the Human Resources department, responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and management of training programs across the organization and vendor organizations. Reporting to the Vice President Human Resources, the incumbent will lead a team of training professionals, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive the creation of learning initiatives that align with the company’s goals and foster customer experience, and employee growth & development.

You will be responsible for creating an environment where people can be successful and includes diverse thinking, inclusion, leveraging strengths, and clearing a path for them to do their best work.

The ideal candidate will have experience in off- and near-shore call center vendor support. The ideal candidate will also direct and oversee the organization’s sales training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales force. Ensure that the sales training department successfully develops and administers all necessary training; assessing the quality of training and making changes to ensure standards are met, and skill or knowledge gaps are identified and closed.

Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Leadership

  • Design, implement, and monitor the overall training strategy for the company and vendor organizations
  • Lead and mentor the training team, ensuring professional growth and skill enhancement

Curriculum Development

  • Cultural and demographic cohort awareness and adaptability in training assessment and development
  • Develop and maintain training materials, modules, and courses
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and engaging

Training Execution

  • Coordinate and oversee the delivery of training programs across various departments
  • Evaluate training delivery methods, including in-person sessions, e-learning, and blended learning experiences

Performance Metrics

  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives
  • Analyze training metrics and make recommendations for improvement

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with senior & department leaders to identify training needs and gaps
  • Engage with external partners and vendors to source or develop training resources as needed
  • Recommend new training methods (including e-learning, artificial intelligence, and game-based platforms)
  • Plan training programs based on business goals
  • Oversee learning activities, curriculum, and resources
  • Some domestic and international travel required

Continuous Learning & Innovation

  • Stay current with the latest in training and educational methodologies, technologies, and trends
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization

Budget Management

  • Oversee the training budget, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources

Required Qualifications

  • Transformational abilities
  • Five years of experience in training and development, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role
  • Experience in call centers
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies
  • Proficient in training technologies and platforms, including Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage various stakeholder expectations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
  • In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Experience in off- and near-shore vendor training oversight
  • Cross-industry applicants encouraged

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Psychology or relevant field or related field. Master’s degree preferred
