Overview
Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership on all DEIB strategies, policies, programs, and practices while partnering with key stakeholders across the organization; cultivates, promotes and champions an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace centered on our organization’s mission, vision and values. Direct the activities of the DEIB Strategic Planning Goal Team and lead execution of DEIB strategies leveraging the DEIB Strategic Planning Goal Team.
Compensation range for this position is $128,000-160,000.
Responsibilities

- Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
- Work closely with all levels of management and staff to finalize and implement a multi-year DEIB strategic plan and enable organizational and talent practices
- Design, champion and lead DEIB strategies and initiatives that optimize people, processes, and practices to accelerate business performance and build/sustain a culture exemplified by diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
- Collaborate with Gift of Hope leaders to execute the DEIB strategy and embed diversity, equity and inclusion principles in workplace practices, processes, and policies
- Ensure the alignment of DEIB initiatives and objectives with other key initiatives across the organization, including Culture work, Performance Management, Recruitment and Retention, Gift of Hope Branding
- Consult with, coach, educate and influence executives, senior leaders and the DEIB Strategic Planning Goal team, to effectively drive DEIB goals and objectives
- Collaborate at all levels in the organization to heighten DEIB awareness, knowledge, application, and leadership
- Determine and recommend specific practices necessary to establish and maintain a positive and inclusive environment and promote a high level of employee trust and confidentiality
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Executive Team and DEIB Strategic Planning Goal Team ensuring the organization’s initiatives align with its mission and value, promotes DEIB, contributes to organizational success and connection to community
- Consult with HR/Talent Acquisition to identify and implement best practices to support DEIB in the equitable recruitment, selection, training, retention, and promotion and succession planning of its present and future workforce.
- Consult on equitable job descriptions and training for HR, Recruiters and Hiring Managers
- Consult with Education & Training Services department to approve all DEIB training for people leaders, individual contributors, and external stakeholders and partners as needed for our blended workforce of shift and daily full-time workers
- Measure, track, analyze the effectiveness of DEIB initiatives, report on progress, and identify future areas of focus
- Collaborate with various departments to assist in influencing our external partners and the communities we serve
- Drive leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability for DEIB initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience and Skills Required
The following indicates the minimum skills and experience required to perform the essential functions of the job.
- 10+ years of experience creating, implementing, and leading corporate wide DEIB and People strategies
- Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide change initiatives and knowledge of change management approaches
- Experience translating DEIB missions and visions to strategy and delivering against DEIB and business goals successfully
- Proven history of partnering with senior and executive leadership as well as Marketing, Corporate Communications, Training/Leadership Development, HR and Talent Acquisition teams
- Ability to build relationships, manage stakeholder expectations, and influence staff and community partners
- Data driven nature and the ability to use internal and external data and analytics to benchmark, measure success, create insights and drive decisions
- Experience working with shift workers
- Exceptional ability to build and grow relationships internally and externally
