About This Team

The Finance Data team works very closely with FP&A business owners to ensure financial data reporting roadmaps are created and managed according to the requirements needed to solve high priority problems. The business analyst will work closely with business stakeholders and the agile technology team to create both experience and technical requirements for accurate, reliable, and rich financial reporting. The business analyst will be expected to be organized, value research, great at facilitation, problem solving and bringing the right skill sets together to ensure we have aligned requirements.

A Day in the Life

Works closely with FP&A Business Owners and Technology teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood. Responsible for ensuring acceptance criteria is aligned. Works closely with Architects to ensure system implications/dependencies are understood. Facilitates requirement conversations with FP&A Teams.

  • Experience and functional requirements gathering
  • Helping business owner groom backlog
  • Including dependency management and architectural decisions in requirements
  • Aligning overall scope and sequencing recommendations with business owner
  • Utilizes artifacts such as JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirement alignment sessions
  • Will liaise between FP&A group and Technology group and have access to SME’s
  • You’ll be representing the voice of the business to the architect/engineering team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in BI (data warehouses, data lakes, SQL, PowerBI, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience working within Finance projects, organizations, or groups (accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, debits/credits, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience functioning as a business analyst
  • Can advise on KPIs and build reports
  • Experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives
  • Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategy into feature development roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keep the guests need at top of mind

We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions and do not hire employees at the highest point of the pay range, targeting around the 50th percentile of the range. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us. As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $150,000. The beginning salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000.
