New York Life’s Institutional Annuities Department is hiring a Client Service Representative in its Jersey City, NJ location. We are looking for customer- focused, accountable, efficient, and engaged professionals who are devoted to and guided by a commitment to service excellence.
The Representative is in charge of client service and administration of group annuity contracts that fund pension plan obligations.
Training & Development:
Client Service Representatives undergo training to learn about the product, contract provisions, and transaction processing. Coaching and feedback is provided to help you gain the necessary skills to be successful.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process annuity requests for Group Annuity Contracts in accordance with contractual provisions.
- Handle inbound/outbound calls responding to both institutional and individual annuitant inquiries.
- Provide up to date information for Institutional clients including pricing, interest calculations, account balances, audit inquiries and information for tax filings.
- Establish and maintain high quality internal and external customer relationships – assessing and responding to their needs effectively.
- Communicate operational procedures as well as company, industry and regulatory policies to clients
- Provide support to Stable Value Service group.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience.
- General knowledge of Pension Plans (Defined Contribution) a plus.
- General knowledge of Group Annuity Contracts and/or Stable Value Contracts a plus.
- Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills required to effectively manage a diverse workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple applications, products, and services.
- Must be result oriented and a team player.
Additional Requirements:
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Demonstrate ability to apply technical industry knowledge to day-to-day issues and have the ability to adapt to new technology.
- Ability to remain flexible in a changing environment.
