As a product marketing lead for the telecom industry, you will have the opportunity to define and drive the marketing strategy for solutions and services that help industry customers accelerate transformation with the power of the cloud. You will work with product and engineering teams to shape the product vision and prioritize features. You will create compelling content to help customers understand service use cases and value propositions, and build the right marketing programs to drive customer engagement and service adoption. You will get to work on a new and rapidly growing business and have a big impact every day.
The ideal candidate has a passion for technology services and how they can be used to create business outcomes in the telecommunications vertical, the ability to transform complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand messaging and materials, and experience building and improving scalable mechanisms for managing work. A proven track record of excelling in a data-driven product marketing organization and industry subject-matter expertise are must-haves.
This role is preferred to sit in Seattle, WA, but may also sit in Boston, MA, Palo Alto, CA or San Francisco, CA USA. Relocation offered to these locations only from within the USA only.
Key job responsibilities
– Own the development of messaging, positioning, marketing content, and go-to-market strategies for AWS services focused on Telecommunications
– Work effectively across AWS with groups such as engineering, digital marketing, sales, business development, public relations, analyst relations, partner marketing, and evangelists to shape the product vision, prioritize features, and achieve our joint business goals
– Craft and execute campaigns and leverage organic channels to reach our customers and help grow their understanding and usage of AWS services
– Test and refine new marketing approaches and channels to reach and engage key audiences
– Develop, and support keynotes at AWS and industry conferences and trade-shows, positioning AWS as the leading cloud provider for the industry.
– Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging, calls to action, segmentation strategy, adoption campaigns, marketing distribution channels, and campaign schedule
– Work at both the strategic and tactical level of champion bold and creative ideas

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
– Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
– Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
– Experience leading go-to-market for consumer software or hardware product launches
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience communicating results to senior leadership
– Experience communicating results to stakeholders
– 5+ years’ experience in product marketing for services targeting the telecommunications industry

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market.
