Principal, Regulatory Affairs

Job Description

Directs the development, coordination and administration of environmental policies and compliance programs. Participates in the development and implementation of financial and strategic planning activities. Facilitates quality improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibility

  • Contributes through a combination of key technical expertise and technical/process leadership that regularly provides enterprise level guidance to team members. Develops and monitors strategic operating goals and objectives; reports operational performance, justification and/or corrective action; plans and implements the utilization of information resources to support the strategic direction and operations.
  • Promotes quality and productivity improvements through involvement in the development of improved procedures, process innovations and changes which support the strategic direction of the project.
  • Partners with legal counsel regarding associated risk exposure relating to proposed acquisitions.
  • Reviews, tracks and aggregates project level budgets.
  • Oversees third party environmental consultant plans and environmental permit applications to ensure compliance and conformance with corporate objectives. Consults with the leadership and third party consultants relating to the carbon footprint.
  • Develops and oversees orientation and training programs related to medical waste, hazardous waste, universal waste, spill prevention control and countermeasure (SPCC) plans and underground storage tank (UST) compliance.
  • Manages present and future Environmental Compliance Program, maintaining full environmental compliance.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate, federal, state and local rules, regulations and The Joint Commission standards.
  • Interprets, with the business, and standardizes all fiscal and regulatory reporting standards to ensure compliance with government and regulatory reporting and third-party agencies.

Job Qualification

  • Master’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership / management experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $166,500-$291,400/year
