Recruiter (DTLA)

RECRUITER POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Recruiter will oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, engaging with candidates from the screening phase through offer negotiations. Responsibilities include, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to attract, recruit, and select talented, innovative, mission-minded individuals with a passion to reach people with the compassion of Christ.

RECRUITER CORE WORK PRINCIPLE:

RECRUITER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Attract applicants by writing compelling job descriptions and posting job advertisements across various job boards and social media platforms. This may include online and print.
  • Actively source qualified candidates using internet databases, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Source, screen, and interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills for open positions.
  • Coordinate phone and onsite interviews (travel arrangements may apply), check references, and act as the liaison between candidates and hiring managers at all stages of the process.
  • Connect the right talent to the right opportunity to advance the organization’s purpose and priorities.
  • Implement recruiting strategies and best practice initiatives across the company.
  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods.
  • Advise managers and employees of staffing policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Brainstorm and implement new sourcing methods and tracks recruiting metrics.
  • Participate in job fairs and career events.
  • Build the organization’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges, and other partners.
  • Ensure that new hires receive a smooth onboarding process including participation in their department and organization orientation.
  • Be well informed and comply with changes in labor legislation.
  • Maintain confidential files, documents, lists, and databases.
  • Assist with the operation of the HR department and conduct other tasks and projects as assigned by the VP of HR.

Requirements

RECRUITER EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURES:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of full life cycle recruitment experience.
  • Human resource experience in a non-profit environment, a plus.

RECRUITER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a high volume environment.
  • High level of proficiency with recruiting tools and social media networks.
  • Strong experience with phone and in-person interviews, candidate screening, and evaluation.
  • Ability to give presentations in a group setting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at ALL times due to the high visibility of this position.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times due to the confidential and sensitive nature of the department.
  • Ability to travel locally.

Salary Description

$66,726.40 – $70,000.00 (depending on experience)
