This posting will be used for 30 days to conduct ongoing recruitment and will remain open until the position and/or positions have been filled. Shift is 8 am to 5 pm.
Why does the job exist?
Provides services as it relates to the upkeep of the grounds and campus of the New Mexico Behavioral Health (NMBHI) Institute and to provide manpower support to other disciplines within the Plant Department.
How does it get done?
Repairs to include, but not limited to: broken windows, broken doorknobs, broken furniture (tables, chairs, roof leaks, and wardrobe closets), doors, and asphalt roads.

Ideal Candidate
Will have:
Experience ln carpentry;
Experience in taping and texturing;
Experience in grounds maintenance.
Minimum Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent and six (6) months of experience in general buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial duties, construction, plumbing, electrical and/or appliance repair. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver’s license.
Working Conditions
This position will perform work at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute, both indoors and outdoors. Some standing, walking, stooping, bending and lifting a minimum of one hundred (100) pounds with assistance may be required. Effective 01/01/2015, the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products or E-Cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Position may be required to work shifts, overtime, weekends, holidays, and call back hours as needed.
Shift is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
