About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. Our comprehensive portfolio meets the growing technical requirements of today’s and tomorrow’s power grid!

We are looking for an Aftermarket Spare Parts Product Line Manager. This position will be based in Wendell, NC but could be remote as well.

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Aftermarket Spare Parts Product Line Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will not only be responsible for shaping the product line strategy for aftermarket spare parts but also driving the creation and success of an online platform, enabling our customers to easily purchase spare parts online. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, and excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Line Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product line strategy for aftermarket spare parts, aligning with the company’s overall business objectives and market trends. Drive the development and implementation of an online marketplace to facilitate the sales of spare parts directly to consumers.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify customer needs, market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth. Translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and sales to identify and prioritize new aftermarket spare parts opportunities. Lead the product development process for online offerings.
  • Inventory Management: Implement inventory management strategies tailored to the online platform and ensure availability of common spare parts while minimizing excess stock. Develop inventory forecasting models to achieve optimal stock levels.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to ensure consistent and reliable sourcing of spare parts.
  • Digital Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute digital marketing strategies, collateral, and promotional campaigns to increase awareness and demand for aftermarket spare parts.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to provide them with the necessary tools, training, and product knowledge to effectively promote and sell aftermarket spare parts.
  • Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the aftermarket spare parts product line; monitor sales performance, website traffic, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, sales, operations, and customer service to ensure alignment and successful execution of product line strategies.
  • E-Commerce Platform Development: Collaborate with IT and development teams to lead the design, development, and launch of the online spare parts marketplace. Ensure an intuitive user experience, smooth transaction process, and seamless integration with the company systems.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in product management or experience in e-commerce.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for identifying and solving customer pain points.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, product management software, and data analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with medium voltage or low voltage switchgear.

  • The pay range for this position is $99,500 – $169,200 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
