The Position:

Position will be responsible for designing and delivering business critical web-based applications for enterprise clients using latest Front-End technologies such as but not limited to JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node…etc. This role has responsibility for understanding client business and technical requirements and delivering appropriate end-to-end solutions. The developer will work with BSAs and other developers to ensure successful development of solutions that meet our customer’s needs.

Major Responsibilites:

  • Works independently and simultaneously manage multiple assignments. Work in an efficient manner resulting in low defect, high quality software that fulfills the specified business requirements. Confer with management and personnel of other departments to implement projects.
  • Provides an ongoing maintenance and support for applications within the area of responsibility and provides production support.
  • Designs, develops, and deliver technical solutions to business requirements.
  • Has experience to resolve complex issues using creative and effective mechanisms.
  • Develops appropriate documentation for architectural, design, technical, implementation and test activities.
  • Remains current with emerging Web technologies. Presents subjects/issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. Provides regular communication to management on programming assignment issues and status.
  • Communicates and reports issues, status, and results to management with recommended solution.
  • Adheres to best practices, standards, and conducts unite testing over the code before migration to production.
  • Delivers assignments according to a schedule, and ability to deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Analyzes applications and makes necessary changes to optimize performance.
  • Help others and share knowledge with team members regularly and when needed.
  • Other duties as required to support and meet the needs of Panasonic Avionics Corporation.

The salary range of $94,000 – $158,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, or related experience. HCI degree or UX is a plus.
  • 8+ years solid working experience as a front-end developer.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team, oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Expert knowledge of JavaScript, modern JavaScript libraries and tooling.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Expert knowledge of using CSS pre-proceeding techniques such Sass and Less.
  • Expert knowledge of using task runners and CSS compliers such as Webpack and Grunt.
  • Expert knowledge of consuming Web APIs.
  • Familiar with Visual Studio IDE.
  • Good knowledge of UX and HCI.
  • Working knowledge of WordPress development.
  • Working knowledge of at least one of JavaScript framework such as Angular or react.js.
  • Familiarity with Docker containers.
  • Good working knowledge of source control such as TFS, and git.
  • Awareness of cross-browser compatibility issues and client-side performance considerations.
  • Security minded and basic information about secure coding and web vulnerabilities.
  • Familiarity with Low and No code development or willing to learn as you go in timely manner when required.
  • Willing to learn enterprise platforms development such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and Sitefinity.

Pluses but not required:

  • Knowledge of enterprise applications front end development such as Sitefinity, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of .net C#
  • Knowledge of MVC.net
