Job Description:
Fidelity Investments is seeking an experienced Litigation Support analyst to join a highly motivated team within the Legal Department. This role requires familiarity with electronic document review and production, and will support Legal and the Company’s response to litigation and discovery requests quickly, consistently, and defensibly at every stage, including supporting and using appropriate and cost-effective litigation technology.
As a Litigation Support Analyst, expect a dynamic role with varying tasks and competing deadlines from day to day. You will be required to exercise sound judgment that will greatly affect the outcome of discovery efforts. Due to the criticality of accuracy and methodology, this position carries a high degree of responsibility and accountability.
Direction is provided by more senior members of the Litigation Support team and other members of Legal. In this role, you will need to proactively seek out training to stay current with discovery techniques, technology, legal expectations, and continually evolving “best practice” guidelines in the industry and among the team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Litigation Support team on high profile and complex cases. Work closely with Litigation Support and eDiscovery team members on multifarious issues related to discovery requests, diplomatically balancing technical feasibility and team resources with attorney requirements and deadlines.
- Assist with creation and support of review databases. Assess, analyze, and manipulate electronically stored information (ESI), filter electronic data by complex criteria, organize logical review workflows, assist and train reviewers, create electronic data productions in various formats. Provide technical and project support wherever necessary.
- Assist with implementation of complex review workflows, detailed analysis of data, and early case assessment needs.
- Maintain meticulous and transparent record of work and follow established conventions and best practices.
- Provide detailed statistical analysis of searches and records to expedite efficient review and support matter negotiations.
- Proficient on various electronic communication and document formats, data types, and database management, workflow software, and complex discovery tools.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years experience in eDiscovery, Litigation Support, or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of EDRM and Litigation Support function and processes
- Experience with Everlaw preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in best practices for collection, review, and production, including the technical elements of ESI stipulations.
- Comfort with various electronic communication and document formats, data types, and database management, workflow software, and complex discovery tools.
- Demonstrated aptitude for independent learning in both a technically and logically demanding environment.
- Ability and strong desire to rapidly learn new and complex applications/technologies, and a desire to experiment and explore the potential of such applications.
- Aptitude for problem solving.
- Independent, accountable, and skilled in exercising sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, prioritizing accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent recordkeeping abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure are required.
- Solid understanding of technical concepts relating to corporate computing environments.
The base salary range for this position is $76,000-$144,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
