Description

  • Primary responsibility will be managing field operations via the Construction Manager and contract administration including safety, personnel, sub-contract scheduling, material and equipment procurement and schedule
  • Safety planning will play a critical role in all planning and field operations activities
  • Contract management from the standpoint of identifying potential change orders, changes in scope, changes in field conditions, changes in ability to perform as bid with means and methods
  • Create and manage budgets
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships including identifying and mitigating potential risk exposure and cost overrun exposure
  • Plan with the Construction Manager what are the applicable equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and update the schedule
  • Manage and update receiving reports and yield reports
  • Maintain accurate cost accounting, accurate schedule impacts, accurate and fully authorized change order logs, and accurate and updated communication logs
  • Submit monthly cost to complete projections
  • Manage the contract value amount as it is affected by weather, changed conditions, authorized change orders, pending change orders, and accurate quantities completed
  • Accurately complete weekly quantities reported and compiled in ViewPoint
  • Accurately completing budget changes on a weekly basis
  • All change orders agreed and signed and reconciled every 30 days upstream to the customer and downstream to vendors and subcontractors
  • Change order log updated to verify current contract amount
  • Coordinate all equipment acquisitions via Construction Manager through Equipment and Resource Department
  • Sub-contract committed costs accurately tracked and recorded
  • Purchase order committed costs accurately tracked and recorded
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
  • One to ten year’s project management in electrical construction, with extensive experience in medium and high voltage construction of distribution systems, substations to 345 KV and AC/DC control systems and transmission lines preferred
  • Regularly required to read, write, talk and hear
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk short and long distances, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds
  • Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly drive a vehicle.
  • Regularly works up to 14 hours daily
  • Occasionally works up to 14 days consecutively
  • Regularly exposed to various weather conditions
