Broad Function
Assist the program faculty in all aspects of the Culinary Arts certificate and degree
program offerings
Major Responsibilities
Assist with coordinating restaurant reservations and events
- Manage restaurant revenues and expenses with Chef and Business Office? Organize reservation management, portal activities, POS system management and training and operation, adjunct training and instruction, credit cards, menus, updating programs
- Manage restaurant revenue at end of each service; “money bag” goes in safe
- Input purchases and deposits into Google Sheet
- Keep track of open purchase order balances weekly
- Receive deliveries and invoice product check in
- Assist with mail from copy center and 14 Hudson
- Scan invoices and email to Chef
- Gift certificate sales
- Liaison between Chef and adjunct faculty
- Regular interaction with full-time and adjunct faculty to guarantee successful dining room service
- Assist with facility organization and equipment maintenance
- Oversee the facility, assist with work orders, give access to and coordinate with facilities, maintenance, IT, cleaner, public safety, vendors, the 14 Hudson property manager and students
- Coordinate composting and produce pick up and deliveries with Agriculture Program
- Assist with work study student schedules
- Assist with parking passes, student transportation and door schedule management
- Manage student laptop cart
- Manage knife loaner kits
- Help with student retention
- Help market program in the community
- Support COVID-19 health screening requirements as needed
Required Skills
Strong communication skills, organization and computer skills
- Experience in organizing office systems, equipment inventory, and scheduling
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills in the culinary arts
Educational Requirements
Minimum of associate’s degree in Culinary or Baking Arts or related field
Minimum of 2 years of restaurant or hospitality experience

Monday through Friday, TBD
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Office and kitchen environment; Occasional lifting of 5lb-10lb and lifting of bulk
product deliveries
