This program promotes parent accountability and self-sufficiency while reducing the public responsibility for providing financial and medical support to children. DCSS also administers several outreach programs to include but not limited to Fatherhood, Prison Re-Entry and Parental Accountability Court. All of these outreach initiatives are devoted to increasing non-custodial parental involvement in the child’s life.
The Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is seeking candidates for the position of Child Support Services Agent Supervisor. This position is based at the Central Registry DCSS office located in Moultrie, Colquitt County, GA.

Job Description
Pay Grade: I

Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff. Supervises a unit to establish and enforce child support obligations of responsible parents. Coordinates child support activities with legal, judicial, and public organizations.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Manages casework functions within the Child Support Services office or unit.
  • Interprets and applies state, federal and agency laws, rules, policies and procedures and assists staff with sensitive and complex cases.
  • Provides human resources management direction to assigned staff.
  • Performs administrative assignments as required for the efficient operation of unit.
  • Coordinates and participates in local and statewide projects, as requested.
  • Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned by manager, director or leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of relevant experience.

OR

  • High school diploma or GED AND Four (4) years of relevant experience, Two (2) years of which at an advanced/supervisory level.

OR

  • Two (2) years of experience at the lower level Client Support Services Agent 3 (SST062) or position equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a related field from an approved, accredited college or university AND Three (3) years of child support/enforcement case management work experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field from an approved, accredited college or university AND Four (4) years of child support/enforcement case management work experience of which Two (2) were at the level of DCSS Agent 2 (or comparable position) based on the State of Georgia Position Clarification Structure.
