Washington County’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Division has an exceptional opportunity to apply your advanced technical skills providing customer service to internal clients for the operation and maintenance of client computer hardware and software applications. This role collaborates with internal and external business on move requests and projects, provides a variety of specialized customer service related to supporting and maintaining client hardware and software in the County. Incumbents at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance when new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies within the work unit.
The Client Services Technician II provides a variety of specialized customer service related to the operation and maintenance of personal and networked computer hardware and software applications; installs, maintains, and troubleshoots operational issues with County employees or networked personal computer workstations, printers, and software applications.
This position also specializes in partnering with our Facilities and Parks Services Department to perform task including but not limited to:
- Move coordination and projects
- Heavy emphasis on customer service and partnership with Facilities
- Inventory management
- Audio Visual support
- Hardware deploys
The successful candidate will have a general understanding of computer support (Tier 1 and Tier 2), excellent people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently prioritize and effectively multi-task. We also expect for this person to be good with time management and organization. The ideal candidate is one that can represent and manage the computer equipment moves area for the County. We are also looking for someone who has experience supporting the AV for executive (Board of Commissioner) level meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education And Experience:
- One (1) year or 45 credits of college-level coursework in computer science or a closely related field; AND Two (2) years of experience providing computer hardware and software support. OR
- Major industry certification for desktop support practices AND Two (2) year of experience providing computer hardware and software support. OR
- Three (3) years of experience providing computer hardware and software support.
Additional Licenses, Certificates, Physical Abilities And Specialty Requirements:
- May require the incumbent to pass an extensive background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.
