About the Indiana Management Performance Hub (MPH):
The Management Performance Hub (MPH) provides analytics solutions tailored to address complex management and policy questions enabling improved outcomes for Hoosiers. We partner with state agencies to leverage data in innovative ways to facilitate data-driven decision-making and data-informed policymaking.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $79,118. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
Role Overview:
The Senior Director of Engagement and Analytics focuses on education, workforce development, and related data analysis programs and projects. You will need 8+ years of experience in data analytics and client engagement along with a strong background in education policy, program leadership, and project management. This position reports to the Chief Engagement Officer.
A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
- Oversees the coordination and completion of multiple teams’ work to ensure quality of deliverables and consistency of efforts across the organization;
- Advises and consults with executive state agencies to identify and implement strategic continuous process improvement in state government;
- Proactively identifies strategic agency challenges and works cross-functionally to diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions;
- Takes part in the creation and implementation of agency success metrics and sees to the successful implementation of plans as needed;
- Develops and executes strategies to increase agency performance across the state;
- Engages with high-level leaders in target industries to evaluate and facilitate collaboration opportunities;
- Evaluates and improves the project management process;
- Serves as project owner for project delivery teams;
- Fosters a positive feedback culture and utilizes feedback to offer guidance and support to team members;
- Participates in weekly leadership meetings to update other members of the leadership team.
- Participates in community data events and shares knowledge/experiences with others in the field;
- Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.
- Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees. Ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.

What You’ll Need for Success:
The ideal candidate in this role should minimally have either:
- a Master’s or Doctoral Degree with 1-2+ experience, OR
- a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or
- at least 8-10+ years of experience applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
- Ability to analyze, process, and visualize data to improve agency operations (programs, measures, admin);
- Utilize knowledge and experience to support team members and the organization;
- Ability to tactfully deal with a wide variety of stakeholders to resolve problems;
- Displays leadership skills necessary to foster a culture of curiosity within the agency;
- Independent thinking and an aptitude for problem-solving;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Ability to analyze complex problems;
- Ability to delegate work set clear direction, and manage workflow;
- Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skillsets;
- Initiative to discover solutions and improvements for clients;
- Exceptional team player.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may provide direct supervision for one or more staff members.
