Job Description
As the Editor, you will edit content for use in various / multiple sports programs, both long form and short form content, such as weekly studio-based programs, live news, digital, and remote programs such as teases, highlights, packages, Voice Overs and Sound On Tape. These elements generally are time sensitive and require an eye for detail and a quick hand. At times, the Editor will be expected to work on their own with little supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Edit for 30 and 60 minute shows
- Edit show features and long-form programming
- Edit for Pre and Postgame Live shows, as well as live other programming
- Edit content for our digital platforms
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Create graphics when needed in Avid
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum one (1+) year of Avid editing experience
- Ability to edit both long and short form packages
- Ability to color correct
- Knowledge of Interplay
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to produce and write highlights and other content on their own
- Solid knowledge of Avid and its applications
- Working knowledge of Marquee title tool
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere
- Ability to use multiple formats and resolutions
- Ability to edit under pressure of multiple deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities

Additional Information
In accordance with applicable NYC law, the estimated hourly rate for this role is $30 – $50 commensurate with experience.
