Overview
The 50/50 raffle ticket seller will play a meaningful role within the Temple University’s game day operations. During each home game, 50/50 raffle tickets are sold to fans with 50% of proceeds going to an in individual in the audience and 50% going to support the Temple Owl Club. This position requires an outgoing, enthusiastic personality.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15.00.

About the Venue
The Liacouras Center is a 10,000-seat multi-purpose venue located on the campus of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. The venue is a full-service sports and entertainment arena featuring Temple University Men’s and Women’s Basketball, along with a variety of concerts, family shows, meetings, banquets, and more! The largest indoor public assembly venue north of City Hall in Philadelphia at 340,000 sq. ft., formerly known as the Apollo of Temple, The Liacouras Center was renamed and dedicated to former Temple University President, Peter J. Liacouras, on February 13, 2000.
Responsibilities
- Actively sell, handle and distribute 50/50 raffle tickets within the Liacouras Center at either a stationary kiosk, or as a roaming sales representative, during and prior to Temple University home games.
- Actively engage guests regarding the 50/50 Raffle and the Temple Owl Club in a multifaceted environment
- Accurately reconcile sales with cash receipts
- Optimally meet and exceed established sales goals
- Present as Temple University ambassadors during games and get fans passionate about purchasing
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a current Temple University student
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to walk or stand for long periods and climb stairs
- Must be outgoing, enthusiastic, approachable and self-motivated
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be able to take and follow directions well
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Above average communication skills
- Candidates must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
