Job Description

The Staff Accountant, Grants will help with all aspects of non-profit accounting functions, with specific responsibility around accounts receivable, revenue, and grants. Staff Accountant, Grants will play a crucial role in the financial management of our grants. The Staff Accountant, Grants, will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting of grants and compliance with funding requirements. Staff Accountant, Grants position furthers the mission of KIPP Texas because he/she helps to promote the proper utilization and documentation of the spending of local grants.

What you will be doing:
• Prepares journal entries
• Maintain internal grant tracker
• Monitor local grant compliance
• Assist with local grant budgeting
• Monitor grant expenditures, track progress, and ensure funds are utilized in accordance with grant agreements
• Prepare compliance reports and ensure all submissions are filed on time according to the compliance calendar
• Work with departments to reconcile and clear grant-related issues
• Assist with annual financial audit
• Perform monthly close procedures

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage a variety of tasks

• The starting point for the salary range for this position is $53,400 and is commensurate upon experience and internal-equity.
