Safran Cabin Materials located in Marysville, WA is recruiting for a:
Material Handler – 1st Shift
6:00am to 2:30p Monday through Friday
$20.00/hr
The duties of this job are to ensure that all of the materials used in the production of panels are controlled, verified and delivered to the production team in a timely manner as to support on time delivery to our plan dates. Material handlers are also responsible for the department hazardous waste control and disposition.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Verify, withdraw and deliver materials to the production line in a timely manner to support the production schedule board.
Ensure that materials are FIFO, track exposure units on temperature sensitive materials.
Must be able to ensure accurate inventory for the department.
Perform cycle counting of highly used materials.
Other duties include receiving and storing production materials, palletizing materials or product, etc..
Handle the disposal of hazardous waste materials for the department.
Forklift operation is required (training provided).
May be required to be a certified forklift trainer.
Active participation in operational improvement activities.
Willing to cross train or transfer to other departments as needed.
Other task as needed and flexibility is key.
Willing to work overtime as needed. This may include weekends.

Candidate skills & requirements
Have a sincere desire to work and be able to work independently or with a team to complete tasks in a timely manner.
2+ years relevant, steady work history is preferred, manufacturing a plus.
Safely and effectively operate a forklift (training provided).
Lift 50 + pounds frequently throughout the shift.
Prior inventory control experience a plus.
Understand and follow procedures/practices.
Be flexible and able to react quickly to changing situations.
Able to learn and effectively apply all requirements established by Safran quality assurance.
Good basic math skills.
Good reading comprehension to follow work orders.
Able to speak/read/write English proficiently.
Legible handwriting/printing.
Ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.
Safran Cabin Materials requires a criminal background check and drug screen to be completed and passed for all positions.
