Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the Studio Production Producer with all live production filming and streaming of events in the Studio or at Charis; specifically including the Charis Daily Live Bible Study (Monday through Friday) and Truth and Liberty Coalition Livestreams as well as all other Livestreams and Shoots in the HQ TV Studio.
Essential Duties:
- Help Film the weekly LIVE productions (with live audience participation and multiple guests), pre-recorded webcasts and video conferencing (Andrews Live casts to other countries), and workflows to interactive websites (such as Facebook), apps and distribution outlets (such as GTTV and ROKU)
- Respond to staging and lighting requirements for the Sets as given by the LPM or Program Producer
- Setup, Operate, and Strike AV equipment such as Cameras, Jib, Teleprompter, Lighting, and Control Boards, Wireless Mics, TVs, etc. and ensure high production quality; Work in coordination with the Event Camera Operator
- Take (and react quickly to) directions via headset from the Live Production Engineer or Technical Director during live events
- Capture content and B-roll of video series content, behind the scenes, etc., as needed
- Ship, receive, unpack, set up, and return all Rental equipment ordered and used; Verify invoices are accurate and submit for payment
- Perform pre-shoot checks, and confirm that video content is online, available, and airs as scheduled without delay
- Connect professionally with LPM to receive the most up-to-date schedule, products, materials, PPTs, and other visual aids required during the event
- Assist with post-event editing, processing, uploading, and following established archiving and formatting guidelines for video segments
- Participate in the planning meetings for all future Live events
- Other duties as necessary or assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and situational awareness to facilitateeffective and positive interactions with diverse audiences, guests, and talent
- A strong eye for framing and composition, and the lighting of a set with furniture and guests
- Troubleshooting experience in a Live environment where timing is critical; the ability to rapidly respond to issues that unexpectedly arise on air is necessary to remain calm in highly fluid and stressful situations where you may run across unexpected problems
- Must be comfortable on microphone counting in and out of live/virtual events
- Able to stand or sit for up to 2-3 hours at a time
- Able to operate Image Capture and Annotation Presentation Technology (Pro-Presenter), Clips Operator, Graphics Operator, Keynote and PowerPoint Software, etc.
- Experience with MAC and PC Systems and Editing Software, especially with Adobe Creative Cloud Package: Premiere Pro, Encore, Photoshop, and After Effects is highly needed
- Knowledgeable of social media and Internet Applications and Protocols (IPTV) is helpful
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and planning skills are needed
- Highly Responsible, Punctual, and Dependable are crucial
- Must be available to work evenings; Able to lift 50lbs; Able to climb up 15 Ladder
- Excellent problem-solving skills
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required
- Experience with filming and various types of cameras
- Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- 1-Year experience in a Live Production Environment or relevant work experience
- 1-Year experience in Television and/or Streaming Operation
- Minimum experience required to be able to be successful in the role.
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
