Job Summary / Purpose

The position is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for pharmacy analyst staff; financial analyses; technology support; data and data architecture; design, generation and interpretation of reports and dashboards; and presentation of key findings.

The System Manager, Pharmacy Analytics will provide strategic direction and coordination for data and analytics to support the Pharmacy Enterprise vision and mission.

This position will provide guidance for standardization data elements and analytic processes for the Pharmacy Enterprise operations including the 340B Program, Contract Pharmacy and Pharmacy Business Analytics.

This position will oversee the integration and preparation of varied/disparate datasets, along with the creation of product categorization schemas necessary for providing actionable insights that link product cost, quality and safety together to enable successful patient and business outcomes.

This position is accountable for ensuring the various analytics work occurring across the Pharmacy Enterprise is coordinated to allow reliable and accurate data-driven decisions, including financial, operational, technical and clinical data.Other responsibilities include providing data that is congruent, accurate and reliable. The position will propose innovative ways to look at problems by using data mining approaches on the set of information available.

The position is responsible for validating and presenting findings to stakeholders by expressing assumptions and validation work in a way that can be easily understood.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree (i.e. MBA, MHA, MS Analytics).
  • 5 years or more experience with health care data analytics and data management or large ERP systems providing financial analysis, budgeting, and benchmarking support.
  • Supervisory experience

Preferred

  • 5 years IT systems and applications management or leadership experience in a large, multi-facility healthcare system; pharmacy data experience.
  • Current financial and non-financial measures utilized in the health care industry.
  • Directing the development and design of analytic solutions.
  • Implementation of software applications, planning, execution, system integration testing, data conversation and validation.
  • Development of statistical and analytical data using tools such as SAS, Python and Excel.
  • Pharmacy operations experience.
  • 340B ambulatory/split-billing integrated solutions experience (e.g., PSG, Sentry, Macro Helix, eAudit); experience with multiple solutions preferred.
  • Business Analysis (CBAP® or CCBA®) or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA®) Certification preferred.
