The Experience Design Studio is a digitally native company founded in 2017 with remote staff and hubs outside of Philadelphia and Atlanta. We collaborate from strategy to creation and growth, blending consulting, design, engineering, marketing, and analytics with the aim of providing seamless customer, patient and HCP experiences across all digital touch points, with common sense sprinkled in.
Our creative and customer experience department is looking to add an entry to mid-level Content Writer and Editor to our team, with a focus on digital marketing projects. As a writer, you will be responsible for creating 500-1500 word articles that market a company’s or brand’s products and services. As a Copy Editor you will own the flawless execution of copy across all client and internal projects This pivotal role will work with creative and technical team to ensure that all content adheres to client guidelines, both in style, grammar, and in compliance within our highly regulated industry.
The ideal candidate loves to write and have a natural curiosity in researching and learning about a broad range of topics. You have the ability to master the AP style for brands and corporations and have a eye for detail.
Experience in both creative writing and technical copy for the life science industry are important for this role.
Requirements
Copyedits and proofreads a wide variety of written materials, including emails, marketing materials, meeting agendas, press releases, forms, letters and addresses, brochures, fliers, house ads, reports, newsletters, web page content, PowerPoint presentations, manuals, surveys, and social content, to:
- Ensure the accuracy of spelling and grammar.
- Ensure consistency with the Style Guide and other protocols (e.g., Associated Press Stylebook).
- Edit content for clarity, query unclear text.
- Ensure accuracy by performing fact checks. – Verify that editorial, formatting and other changes have been made correctly.
- Formats documents in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. – Manages multiple assignments with differing deadlines, some scheduled and some ad-hoc.
Copyeditor / Proofreader Qualifications:
- 3+ years of copyediting / proofreading experience
- A bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field – Have excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Have strong formatting skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. – Advanced experience with AP Style.
- Have strong organizational and time management skills. – Work independently and productively but also as part of a team and with staff in other divisions.
- Must be able to work effectively with various personalities.
