The Controls Specialist is responsible for participating in the day-to-day activities related to incorporating operations monitoring, correcting and dispatching in real time functionality of the building automation systems. Responsible for the monitoring of proper operation and scheduling of all building systems and equipment and participate in the broader mission of facilitating a collaborative work team with focused efforts across Controls, Special Projects and Service systems with numerous projects. The Controls Specialist reports to the Service Operations Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Field and Office Support: Operates building automation systems and air-conditioning controls, using various operator workstations, computers, digital interface units, and standard HVAC tools of the trade. Support Service Technicians through phone and on-site technical support
– Staff Support: Assist Service and Service Dispatcher with controls workload
– Sales Support: Promote accurate estimating by performing surveys and job walks as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
*2-3 years of experience with Computer Networking
*2-3 years of experience with HVAC or Mechanical Systems
*Able to communicate and discuss technical & computer issues with field technicians
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree or relative experience (Computer Networking/HVAC/Mechanical Systems)
*Experience with Automated Logic, Trane, Honeywell, Johnson Controls software
