Our Building Envelope group provides expert waterproofing and exterior enclosure services to Owners, Architects, and General Contractors. These services include plan review, specification review, mock-up review, onsite water testing, onsite inspections, etc.

Job Description

Are you a seasoned professional in building envelope systems, passionate about delivering outstanding results? Do you have a deep understanding of construction methods and a keen eye for detail? If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we invite you to join our esteemed team as a Building Envelope Consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments and evaluations of building envelope systems, including roofing, façade, waterproofing, insulation, and fenestration.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans to assess compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Perform on-site inspections and testing to identify potential deficiencies, leaks, or moisture intrusion in building envelopes.
  • Provide expert recommendations and solutions to address identified issues, ensuring the longevity and performance of building envelope systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop effective strategies for building envelope design, construction, and maintenance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, new materials, and emerging technologies related to building envelope systems.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation, outlining findings, recommendations, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner, and building strong relationships based on trust and expertise.
  • Offer training and guidance to junior staff members, sharing your knowledge and fostering their professional growth.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a building envelope consultant or in a related role within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of building envelope systems, construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards related to building envelope design, construction, and performance.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools for analysis and evaluation (e.g., infrared thermography, moisture meters, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to identify potential issues or vulnerabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Additional Information

The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000.
