We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented leader with a passion for building brands through emotional and action-driving copy. The Senior Brand Strategist, Verbal for the PV Brand team will be a critical leader in advancing, defining and unifying, and maintaining the global brand verbal expression to ensure we provide our millions of global customers the most frictionless and dynamic entertainment service possible.
The successful candidate will have experience defining and cascading a brand’s positioning, purpose, tone of voice and messaging in the US and beyond. This person must be a strategic thinker, working closely with the research team and creative teams to address customer pain points, as well as have experience defining a brand’s verbal expression, creative instincts and vision. Critical to the candidate’s success will be strong ownership skills, as well as an ability to establish a new process to collaborate and build strong relationships with partners in the US and all our global territories.
We are looking for a strategic leader with superpowers in program strategy, prioritization, and getting things done. This role independently owns and partners with senior leadership to drive strategic programs with marketing, operations, studios and product leaders. In particular, this team is at the forefront of creating and managing customer journeys that enhance Prime members’ relationship with Prime Video.
Key job responsibilities
– Partner with the Creative Marketing Lead and Head of Brand to establish a process to define a brand’s voice, working collaboratively with global teams across all disciplines to monitor and ensure brand consistency and clarity.
– Assist in defining goals, approach, creative development and road-mapping of brand initiatives.
– Set mechanisms to socialize global status updates to ensure transparency and open collaboration.
– Continually evaluate brand system components to identify opportunities for further innovation across all media channels, placements and customer touchpoints (e.g. social, digital, Amazon owned channels, TV, in-theater, print, out-of-home, AI and PR).
– Own and manage the language, tone and rules that define how PV speaks to it’s customers.
– Prioritize workstreams and offer a vision for achieving goals, then share it with internal teams and hold both self and others accountable for delivering on them.
– Align closely with research teams to establish a testing cadence and approach to ensure we are continually validating our branding decisions and identifying new opportunities.
– Deliver bar-raising, best in class ideas and plans at a global scale, eliminating barriers that may work against this.
– Manage project budgets and work with team to track and forecast.
– Regularly present key metrics and progress to goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
– Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
– Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
– Comprehensive creative experience, including agency and/or in-house experience
– Experience driving brand positioning and strategy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
– Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
– 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
– Comprehensive creative experience, including agency and/or in-house experience as a Senior Copywriter or Verbal Strategist
– Experience defining or shaping a brand’s voice internally or at an agency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
