Job Overview:
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced healthcare leader to oversee ongoing program policy and new policy development for the Medicaid School Program. The Medicaid School Program is jointly administered by ODM and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and exists to ensure student access to necessary health-related services in the school setting. As the Medicaid School Program Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- becoming a subject matter expert on the Medicaid School Program
- developing policies and directing implementation of the Medicaid School Program
- directing the development of administrative rules, state plans, and interagency agreements governing the Medicaid School Program
- monitoring current operations and making policy and operational recommendations for reducing administrative burden and increasing appropriate utilization
- serving as lead in the ODM’s communications with sister agencies, school districts, and federal partners such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
- coordinating Medicaid School Program work and resources with managed care organizations and operational contractors (e.g., provider network module, fiscal intermediary, actuary)
- working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across departments, agencies, stakeholders, and managed care organizations to optimize program and student outcomes

Qualifications
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance; 24 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis).
-Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295. Note: education & experience is to be commensurate with approved position description on file.
