The Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a mid-career candidate “Systems Specialist/Project Coordinator” to enhance its clean energy integration, power systems development, and modeling capability within its Systems Analysis & Integration Department.
Responsibilities Include:
Supports the wind, hydropower, solar, and power systems integration technologies staff by way of fulfilling the role of Project Coordinator/Systems Specialist.
Responsible for enabling the execution of key research and development activities supporting our Energy and Grid Systems Integration group.
Key roles would include assisting with tracking and execution of critical procurements and contracts, working with project managers to develop scopes of work, providing writing and editing support for technical reports and publications, and conducting various other project coordinator roles necessary to advance the group’s mission in meeting DOE/DOD/industry customer expectations.
This position must be or become familiar with, and comply with all relevant health and safety requirements, emergency action policies and procedures, methods for reporting/resolving work practices or conditions to available cognizant professionals, and performing all work in an environmentally safe and compliant manner.
Good communication skills are mandatory.
Requires the ability to obtain and maintain at least a DOE “L” clearance to support work with the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and Homeland Security.

This position supports and integrates actions, activities, projects, & initiatives of the EES&T Directorate’s Integrated Mission Plan and other INL research, development, demonstration, and deployment (RDD&D) efforts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. and 5 years of experience. Relevant experience includes technical proposal writing, project coordination, technical communications, and experience related to renewable energy integration.
US Citizenship required. The person must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “L” security clearance or higher.
Preferred Requirements:
Working knowledge of the Department of Energy and Department of Defense environments, with technical communications related to renewable energy integration strongly desired.
