An employer in the Lakewood, Colorado area is looking for a Substation P&C Engineer to join their team. This candidate will have a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience within high voltage protection and controls design role, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and estimates using AutoCAD. They will come from a power industry background; a renewable industry background is a plus. An EIT is preferred and this person will be reporting to a PE. There will be opportunity for 5% of time (2 times a year) to travel to the field and see these projects come to life. There is opportunity for a 9/80 schedule if this candidate would like every-other Friday off, and great benefits offered from the company.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
3 years of experience within high voltage protection and controls design using AutoCAD (15kv+)
Experience with one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC & DC schematic diagrams, relay panel elevations & wiring, supervisory & control drawings, electrical vendor equipment wiring diagrams
Must come from a power industry (not oil/ gas OR industrial)
Must come from a consulting company versus utility
Ability to speak with clients and customers
