Why does the job exist?
The IT Business Analyst II will:
- Manage tasks related to the NM Medicaid Management Information System Replacement (MMISR) project.
How does it get done?
The IT Business Analyst II is responsible for:
- Business aspects of information systems which would include business processes, functionality and data;
- Developing, analyzing documents requirements, as well as business process decomposition and modeling;
- Collaborating and coordinating effectively with IT and business team members.
Who are the customers?
- The Business Analyst (BA) work will be solely for the Health and Human Services (HHS2020) initiative and Medicaid Management Information System Replacement (MMISR) project.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has experience with:
- Information technology or business analysis;
- Business process decomposition and modeling;
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in any field and four (4) years of experience in information technology or business analysis. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below. PMI-PBA certification may be substituted for one year of education.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Travel statewide required
