The Characters(and Jackasses) We All Work With from the Show ‘Jackass’
The workplace can be a dynamic, everything-goes, unpredictable environment, where office antics rival the craziest stunts on TV. Thus, we can’t help but notice the uproarious resemblances between some of our coworkers and the daring characters from the Hit MTV show ‘Jackass.’ Grab your safety gear, keep your guard up, and we’ll take a closer look at the parallels of this TV adventure, and some of the Characters we’ve worked with in our careers.
The “Bam Margera” Prankster Extraordinaire
The prankster extraordinaire – the one who can turn an ordinary day at the office into a hilarious circus, we call the Bam Margera. Like the mischievous member of ‘Jackass,’ the Bam is always ready for fun and always has a prank up his sleeve. Whether it’s covering the boss’s chair with whoopee cushions or hiding the office supplies, the Bam’s antics keep everyone on their toes. You enjoy the unpredictability and the hijinks…UNLESS you are the focus of the prank. Then it is all about the fear of what is to come. Not so much how the prank will unfold, but the fear that it may also end up as the next viral video on YouTube.
The “Chris Pontius” Comedy Connoisseur
Who is the Chris Pontius? He is a comedy connoisseur always ready to provide entertainment with his quirky sense of humor. We have worked alongside the Chris, but his unique style of ‘funny’ is unlike most similar characters we’ve come across in our career stops. Like the funnyman of ‘Jackass,’ they have a different way of seeing the lighter side of office life from some of the absurd costumes, to their ability to disrupt and take any meeting fully off-track, yet The Chris never seems get himself in hot water. You know you could never pull of what the Chris gets away with, but you don’t really care. He has a gift, and it’s one you enjoy seeing opened when he does so.
The “Ryan Dunn” Fearless Collaborator
We are always appreciative of having an office collaborator – the one who’s always ready to team up with their coworkers and take on any challenge – he is our Ryan Dunn. Like the adventurous member of ‘Jackass,’ they’re never afraid to lend a hand to any office project or group activity. The Ryan may suggest something outlandish that can scare you and others off, like building a human pyramid as the next office seating arrangement. But their love of the team shows how their team spirit draws you in, and makes us grateful to walk the halls with the Ryan.
The “Steve-O” Office Wildcard
In the crazy realm of the workplace, there’s always a Steve-O – the unpredictable wildcard who’s always looking for the next adrenaline rush. Like the fearless stuntman on ‘Jackass,’ they have a knack for turning mundane office tasks into outrageous spectacles. Just hope they don’t start attempting extreme sports during lunch breaks – their idea of “casual Friday” might involve bungee jumping from the office rooftop!
The “Johnny Knoxville” Fearless Daredevil
When you have a clique or group within the office(not in a bad way), just that collection of like-minded people who all seem to be fearless, there is often a ring leader that the rest follow to support and partake of the whims and activities he suggests. He is our Johnny Knoxville, the fearless daredevil of the workplace. As much as he leads the effort, he does not do so by getting others to do his bidding, or be the ones to put targets on their backs while he twists his moustache like an evil puppet master. Not our Johnny. Our Johnny is the one who gets right in the middle of the action, always up for the wildest challenges and, unafraid to take risks, just like the real Johnny Knoxville. This charismatic leader of ‘Jackass,’ will lead the charge when it comes to office pranks and crazy adventures, while sometimes taking it so far that some of the office supplies and furniture…and people can be damaged in the process. But with no fatalities to this point, and replaceable equipment that is probably due for an upgrade anyway, it’s a great trade to watch what the Johnny has up his sleeve next.
