A/V Support Engineer will be working for some of the top media agencies in the US. dentsu owns a number of agencies in differing media disciplines. You will have the opportunity to work with the latest technology in a varied and challenging environment with a great deal of development potential.
Someone who has worked in the media industry before would be ideal for the role. You will be required to work in the Executive Support team supporting high profile Video Conferences (within a MS Teams environment) for Executive members of the business on a daily basis, support client pitches and events both onsite and offsite, as well as daily meeting room A/V health checks.
You will also be required to meet the expectations of the role as defined below.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting into the Executive Support Lead, you will need to:
- Be onsite at our NYC office 5 days a week
- Have a background and genuine interest in A/V technology and excellent customer service.
- Strong customer focus and understanding of sensitivities of working with executives, clients, and new business teams.
- Provide on-site technical support for A/V equipment used in events, meetings, and presentations.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conference room equipment as needed on a daily basis.
- Deploy, test, and equipment such as displays, complete Logitech Tap systems, microphones and speakers.
- Assist presenters and speakers with the use of A/V equipment.
- Work with event stakeholders and coordinators to ensure that audio and visual requirements are met.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to provide additional support or equipment as needed.
- Keep track of inventory and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Provide technical support to remote attendees or presenters using virtual meeting software or video conferencing tools.
- Have understanding of Video Conference software such as Teams, Zoom and Webex
- Willing to work outside of business hours to maintain and repair A/V equipment as required.
Qualifications
Essential Technical Skills
- 2 years’ hands-on experience of Microsoft desktop environments
- 2 years’ hands-on experience of Apple Mac hardware and Mac OS 10.8 – 10.12
- Good knowledge of:
- Windows 10 OS
- Microsoft Office 365 & Teams
- Internet Explorer/Chrome web browsers
- Hardware and Peripherals
- Mobile devices
Useful Skills
- Exposure to:

- Audio visual systems (TV/Projector systems)

- Ability to communicate effectively with members of the onsite and remote support teams, customers and 3rd parties

- Positive and adaptable attitude
- Ability to relay technical information to staff of all levels calmly and methodically
Additional Information
The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
