The AbA Scientific Project Manager that supports our Agena Bioscience business has responsibility for managing projects combining molecular biological techniques with matrix-assisted laser desorption / ionization (MALDI) time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Project manage multiple development efforts for the AbA team.
- Project manage selected AbA or R&D panels through the transfer to manufacturing process.
- Oversee AbA inventory and forecasting.
- Review existing protocols and procedures for improvement; if necessary, create new processes when needed.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or related life sciences with 5+ years of relevant experience. Alternatively, Master’s degree in biochemistry, chemistry or related life sciences with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- General knowledge of nucleic acid techniques including isolation, purification, PCR amplification and analysis of genomic DNA and RNA.
- Experience with Project Management software (e.g., Smart Sheets) to manage projects.
- Ability to lead a cross functional team through the stages of a project.
- Works independently, guided by day-to-day objectives for the team.
- Must be able to lead multiple projects simultaneously and fluently navigate competing demands with zero impact to deliverables.
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations.
- Builds internal and external relationships; actively represents team in inter-departmental projects.
- The position will work in a team environment, interacting with relevant cross-functional groups throughout the organization, including executive management, manufacturing operations, research and development, business development, sales and marketing, finance, legal, and external consultants where applicable.
Compensation/Benefits:
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus, equity, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.
Salary Range for this position is $110,000-$125,000.
