Nature of Work: Oversee all technical aspects of the Futures Program within the guidelines established by the Colorado Rapids, Major League Soccer, and US Soccer. Examples of work performed:
- Oversee all technical aspects of the Futures program in collaboration with Futures Program Director & Academy Technical Director.
- Document Futures Program Training curriculum digitally to be used as a resource for coaches in the Colorado coaching community.
- Video analysis of Futures games focused on technical/small group tactical functions.
- Manage Futures Program coaching staff and ensure high-level implementation of Futures Program training curriculum in training and competition settings.
- Assist in scouting and recruitment of potential Futures Program Players.
- Assist in the delivery of training sessions at Academy U14, U15 levels & support on game days as needed.
- Travel as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated ability to teach techniques, tactics, and physical and psychological components of soccer.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and educate youth players and youth coaching staff
- Demonstrated ability to scout and identify future talent for inclusion in the Academy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with video analysis via Hudl or Sportscode preferred.
Organizational and personnel management.
- Knowledge regarding player development.
- Knowledge of MLS Homegrown Player requirements.
- Ability to create spreadsheets and routine business correspondence using Word and Excel software.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task effectively.
- Knowledge of professional sports team operations, public relations, and/or sponsor relations is preferred.
- Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
Education, Formal Training and Experience:
- US Soccer “B” License or equivalent combination of coaching and playing experience. o US Soccer “A” License preferred.
- Professional playing experience preferred.
- Material and Equipment Used:
- General office equipment including copier, fax, phone, computer/keyboard, etc. Company vehicles.
