Beacon Digital Marketing is looking for a full-time Account Director to be part of a fun, fast-paced, and growing digital marketing agency in the Hudson Valley. Our Account Directors oversee junior members of the account team that may include digital marketing project managers and/or account managers. Account Director responsibility will be to provide strategic direction in developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing marketing strategies and digital campaigns for a portfolio of clients across all digital channels. As the primary point of contact for each account, the Account Director plays a key role in maintaining a strong relationship with our clients.

This position presents a unique opportunity to join a rapidly-growing digital agency (hello, Inc 5000 List!) with a global footprint. Our clients are primarily sophisticated B2B companies offering complex services and products to senior leaders in enterprise companies, including cyber security, human resource solutions, online payments and technical software platforms. An Account Director should be comfortable interacting with C-level executives, and speaking and writing to an educated corporate buyer. You should also be comfortable in managing, training and mentoring multiple direct reports.
Our client projects typically include:
- Website design, user experience, and web development
- Content, content, and more content!
- Paid digital marketing campaigns on Linkedin, Google Ads, and Programmatic platforms
- Social media strategy development and execution
- Marketing automation implementation and execution, specifically in Hubspot (we may or may not be a Diamond tier Hubspot Partner, but we’re not gonna boast about that)
- Killer design and branding projects
- The wizardry that is SEO
You will play an integral role in maintaining our client relationships by providing strategic oversight for your portfolio of accounts. You are expected to interface with clients on a regular basis as a strategic resource for them, discussing the following:
- Trends and insights in digital marketing and lead generation
- Creative growth strategies
- Goals … KPIs, ROI, PPC, FTP (gotcha!)
- Evaluation of emerging technologies
The Account Director’s role is to ensure overall success of our engagements. You’ll do this through:
- Building out and presenting in-depth strategic plans
- Presenting Quarterly Benchmark Reports
- Write comprehensive and detailed strategy/campaign briefs and communicate to internal team members
- Review critical deliverables to ensure they are on track and achieve our client’s goals
- Fielding new client requests, as well as continuously be looking for ways to grow and enhance client engagements
- Lead project management of your client accounts through submitting new client projects within our project management system, coordinating with internal team members, flagging concerns to our project manager and service directors, and maintaining client hours trackers and status reports
Outside of maintaining existing client relationships and account success, the Account Director will provide support with our Business Development team’s efforts:
- Joining Discovery calls with prospective clients
- Developing, delivering, and presenting strategic marketing proposals
- Onboarding new clients

- Excited about doing work for large, global clients in industries like fintech, cyber security, fraud investigations, biometric technologies, legal and corporate compliance, recruiting, and nonprofit management?
Qualifications
- BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in an agency setting working in a client-facing role
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and sales funnels
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Data Studio, etc.)
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., Adwords, Adroll, Outbrain, Taboola, etc.)
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords, Facebook, and Linkedin campaigns
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
- Experience with email marketing technologies and best practices, such as Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, Eloqua, and integrations with Salesforce and other CRM tools
