What you’ll do:
As a Corporate Sales Account Executive, you will be equipped with the best sales training in sports and will run your own business. You will be calling on and meeting with Presidents and CEOs of companies, small to large and providing solutions to their business needs. The solution will be season tickets, group tickets, hospitality options, and more. You are selling more than tickets you are selling an experience by helping organizational leaders provide engagement and fun for their teams and clients. You will help deliver on our mission to always put the guest first and to be the nation’s leading minor league sports organization, providing a clean, safe, fun, and family-friendly venue that allows fans and players alike to enjoy America’s favorite pastime!
How you’ll do it:
- Be an engaging self-starter who is focused on business growth, helping clients meet their business goals, working as part of a team, and having fun!
- Generate sales leads through calls, referrals from current clients, and visitation to businesses in and around the Sacramento area.
- Make 100 points of contact a day through calls, texts, emails, and in person meetings.
- Schedule weekly meetings and walk-throughs to give clients a firsthand look at what Sutter Health Park can offer for their business including tickets to games, meeting spaces, and suites.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales of Sacramento River Cats and Sutter Health Park ticket inventory, including but not limited to non-business group outings, Theme Nights, and Nightly Hospitality Areas.
- Work with the sales staff to generate new leads and research new and creative ways to sell tickets. Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Provide excellent customer service to all existing and potential clientele.
- Leadership and oversight of in-game group events.
- Professionally represent the organization at business and community functions.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services that meet those needs.
- Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
- Work as a member of the TEAM and have FUN!
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to successfully make sales pitches to a high volume of clients/customers, negotiate deals, and close deals.
- Proven interpersonal and customer service skills through prior experiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to be able to handle conflicting priorities, meetings, and off-site visits while managing client experiences.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, approach challenges analytically, generate positivity amongst your team, and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel, and Salesforce or similar sales software programs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant fields preferred.
- Prior selling experience in sports or event spaces preferred. Experience working directly with decision makers strongly preferred.
- Experience as part of a team; sports teams, academic teams, or clubs strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to travel locally for client visits.
Compensation:
This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role with an annual salary between $35,360-$50,000 inclusive of overtime, commission, and bonuses (hourly rate is a set rate). Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
