Assembly Media Inc., a subsidiary of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc. is looking for a talented marketing communications professional at the Account Executive level to join our Xbox account team to help shape the brand’s DEI narrative and engage diverse audiences through the joy of gaming.
As an Account Executive (AE), Multicultural, you will play a pivotal role in driving multicultural earned media campaigns for Xbox. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse talent in the gaming industry and contribute to the representation of underrepresented voices. You will work closely with our team and clients to tell compelling stories, amplify partnerships, and engage with multicultural audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Support to multicultural storytelling campaigns to surround ongoing marketing and branded partnership efforts, support cultural moments and trends relevant to Xbox’s target audience, and elevate the BIPOC developer and studio voices in gaming.
- Develop a strong understanding of earned media and its role in storytelling. Create and execute earned media campaigns that align with Xbox’s brand and communications objectives.
- Create and build relationships with key media contacts, influencers, and diverse talent in the gaming industry, including development and management of key media and creator contact lists, familiarity with media management tools like Muckrack, Nicklepass, and Cision; familiarity with social and creator tools like CreatorIQ is a plus.
- Familiarity and interest in the gaming and/or entertainment industry and keep current on the latest news, games, and gadgets in gaming.
- Have awareness or interest in getting to know important voices influencing the gaming and entertainment industry across both the media and creator landscape.
- Collaborate with branding and marketing partnerships to provide counsel and executional support for corporate marketing initiatives such as Hispanic Historic, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, AAPI Heritage Month, and more.
- Create compelling pitches and client-facing emails to secure media coverage and partnerships.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Interest in working across multiple campaigns and projects at any given time.
Basic Qualifications:
- The AE will have a minimum of one year of experience in corporate or executive communications, event planning, public relations, marketing, or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications:
- A proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple small or medium-sized projects at one time is required; effective time management skills within a fast-paced work environment are a plus
- The ability to co-lead a monthly editorial calendar, build effective meeting agendas, clearly articulate feedback notes and clearly capture next steps
- Superior written and verbal communication skills along with the proven ability to consistently make sound judgments
- Experience creating client speeches, PowerPoint presentations, briefing materials, key messaging, and talking points
- Experience engaging multi-level stakeholders and the ability to manage up across the team and with clients
- Collaborative spirit, willingness to raise your hand and pitch in across the multi-faceted account teams
$42,000 – $62,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
