Position Summary:
The EV transition is here, and Federal, State and Municipal entities are helping to accelerate that transition with billions of dollars in new infrastructure funding for Electric Vehicle Fast Charging. At EVgo, you’ll join a team that is critical for the growth and expansion of one of the nation’s largest public fast charging networks through public-private partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Account Management the Public Funding Account Manager will oversee contracting, implementation and ongoing management and reporting of EVgo’s grant-funded programs. In this role you will work cross-functionally within the Operations department to inform and educate other teams about project/program needs ranging from project management, marketing, field operations and analytics. The role requires external-facing poise and communication skills, strong analytical prowess, and an eye for detail. The successful candidate will have three to six years’ experience in the cleantech, energy, or mobility fields (including private industry, consulting, non-profits, or governmental organizations).
Responsibilities:
- Lead grant contracting, implementation and ongoing management of grant funded projects
- Engage with external partners to represent EVgo to build strong rapport and congenial working relationships.
- Monitor and assess project schedules to meet delivery targets. Communicate regularly to provide updates, report concerns, and suggest solutions for improvements.
- Support and track grant compliance reporting milestones to support EVgo’s network growth.
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Technology) to advance and implement projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A. or B.S. Degree.
- 3-6 years of account management experience in mobility or clean energy.
- Outstanding self-starter, tremendously organized, and able to multitask.
- Strong communications, presentation, and leadership skills.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Office suite (including Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations) as well as CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Exceptional team player who can flourish working in a collegial environment and as a self-motivated individual contributor.
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $75,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
