Guest Services-Winona Pool – Seasonal

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Enhances Winona Pool image by providing quality professional customer service to guests and assisting them as needed. Must be available to work some evenings, weekend and holiday hours. Must be at least 14 years of age.

The hiring range for this position is $13.65 – $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Position will remain open until closed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Greets and admits guests, collects fees, and communicates effectively and professionally with guests and staff at all times concerning day to day operations and information sharing.
  • Conducts self in a manner consistent with City of Loveland core values and organizational expectations.
  • Prepares shift deposits and cash drawer at beginning/end of shift following established guidelines.
  • Provides general facililty use instructions, enforces facility policies/rules by informing guests of existing policies.
  • Notifies supervisory personnel when issues arise.
  • Assists with maintenance of various records and oversees lost and found items through documentation.
  • Responsible for general upkeep and security of the bath house by cleaning, maintaining and stocking supplies daily.
  • Reports mechanical malfunctions to supervisory personnel.
  • Assists guests with special needs to improve quality of their visit.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

May be required to cross-train in other areas for duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Must possess the ability to communicate effectively & professionally with staff and guests at all times concerning day to day operations and information sharing. Must have the ability to follow written and verbal direction. Ability to complete fee transactions quickly and accurately, prepare daily cash reports using math principles. Ability to learn and operate cash register system. Ability to perform job duties during peak periods of time when customer service activity is fast paced and intense and during relaxed periods. Must be at least 14 years of age.

Education and/or experience:

Six (6) months experience in cash handling, cash register operations and customer relations in a fast paced environment preferred. Prior janitorial experience in a public facility preferred.

Licensure and/or certifications:

Current First Aid & CPR certifications preferred.

Working conditions and physical requirements:

Work is performed in an outdoor swim facility setting encompassing a fast paced customer service environment. Physical effort would normally consist of sitting, standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, pushing, pulling and positioning up to 50 lbs. Ability to move quickly and efficiently throughout the facility. Will be exposed to various cleaning chemicals and noxious fumes from cleaning supplies while performing duties. Must be available to work some evenings, weekend and holiday hours. Must be at least 14 years of age.
