Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Entry-Level Information Technology Engineers to join our SEDAS/DSAS team in Everett, WA. The team is looking for highly talented, motivated, and creative early career Scientific Application Engineers capable of contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). The individual will be part of a development team working on software applications/tools supporting the BCA Structures Organization. Primary responsibilities will include the continuous improvement and maintenance of existing scientific applications and the development of new application features. Specifically, the individual will design, develop and test revisions to existing Structures applications to incorporate technical, environmental and usability Change Requests.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists in documenting requirements for new and revised hardware and software systems
- Assists in routine implementation of new or revised systems
- Assists in coding and testing applications
- Analyzes and investigates simple problems related to hardware, software or processes
- Documents interfaces between applications to support integration activity
- Assists in preparation of business cases for new technology
- Works under close supervision
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics
- Experience with C, C++ and JAVA
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Windows/AIX/Linux Environments
Typical Education & Experience:
Entry-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range Entry-Level: $67,150 – $90,850
