Overview and Responsibilities
Paramount seeks an Accountant who will report to the revenue manager of Media Networks. As the accountant, you will support the revenue controllership team by ensuring timely preparation of journal entries and processing of invoices for content licensing related revenues such as digital syndication, gaming, studio, location-based events, recreation, audio & records, and other ancillary revenue streams. • Attention to detail is significant as we want to ensure proper accounting for Revenue & Accounts Receivables.
• Responsible for processing month end accruals for content licensing revenue and balance sheet related transactions with proper support
• Monitor Participations and Residuals expense posting to ensure accuracy of statements pay outs.
• Assist in mapping Excel files to specific content from the WhipMedia platform
• Work with various finance teams to acquire and validate support for processing invoices
• Maintain journal entry related support for possible testing by the SOX team
• Ad Hoc requests and analyses
• Cash receipts reconciliations and validations
• Work closely with cash team to resolve unapplied cash discrepancies.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years similar work experience
• Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts, and processes, Excel

• Demonstrate the ability to perform effective workload prioritization and management
• Demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter and take initiative and follow through
• Strong communication skills (oral, written & listening)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 – 72,500.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
