Position Summary: The Accountant works under limited supervision performing a variety of complex duties related to accounting. The position is structured within the Shared Services group of Lincoln Electric Automation, Inc. and is responsible for many of the day to day accounting entries of all Lincoln Automation companies within the US. The individual in this position must have an accounting background and strictly adhere to compliance with the accounting practices established by the Lincoln Electric. Close relationships between Finance and Credit/Collections within all of Lincoln Automation is expected.

The major challenges to this position are coordinating the objectives of the company with the sometimes conflicting demands of the customers (both internal and external), and vendors. In addition, the individual in this position must protect the best interests of the company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accounting general functions including data entry
  • Accounting close responsibilities
  • Account reconciliations
  • Monthly reporting responsibilities
  • Provide support for internal and external auditors
  • Perform ad hoc research, cross-referencing and analytical projects for the finance & accounting team
  • Misc projects – accounting and finance
  • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, and other policies are adhered to
  • Assists with tax preparation documents
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the Company’s 2025 Strategy

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Finance)
  • Public accounting experience, a plus (but not required)
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred, or at least 5 years equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of internal control framework, including working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; working with peers
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proficient in utilizing computer software, Excel and Word
  • Aptitude to learn quickly
  • Must be self-managed and accountable
  • Exceptional time-management, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills required
  • Able to demonstrate leadership and project a positive attitude

Wage Rate: $52,183.00- $96,911.00
